Parade in Logan Tues. to honor Beth Haven WV CEA Champions


Beth Haven is still celebrating their championship win. Tomorrow the City of Logan will honor the team with a parade and a proclamation.


The Beth Haven Boys Varsity basketball team defeated Victory Baptist in overtime with a final score, 77-70. The win earned Beth Haven the W.Va. Christian Education Association State Championship.


Principal Regina Vance said the championship win Is well earned after all that have happened in the last year.


“Proud of our boys,” Vance said. “It’s been a very difficult season leading up to the tournament but we’re thankful.”


Isaac Moore was named MVP for the tournament. Matt Spaulding and Matt Moore were both named to the All Tournament squad.


Mayor Serafino Nolletti will host the school for a parade through downtown Logan Tuesday. The Mayor will proclaim May fourth “the Day of the Hornet.”


The parade begins at 1 p.m.
