Ohio based Peoples Bank announced a merger with Premier and Citizens Deposit Bank and Trust.
Both banks have a total of 48 locations including branches in Logan, Boone and Lincoln counties. Peoples Bank President Chuck Sulerzyski said they have intentions to keep what they already have and there are no plans to close branches. However, the banks will be rebranded as Peoples Banks once the deal is finalized and complete.
Sulerzyski said those currently banking with Premiere and Citizens can expect more digital offerings and increased lending.
