WILLIAMSON Senator Jim Justice and members of his Washington, D.C. team will join Facing Hunger Foodbank Thursday for a free produce distribution in Williamson.

The event runs from one to two p.m. at the Moore Building on West Third Avenue.

Justice’s team also helped distribute food to more than 240 households Monday at the Nighbert Food Pantry in Logan.

The senator helped secure more than one-point-one million dollars in federal funding to support a new Facing Hunger distribution center in Mingo County.

The facility is expected to create up to 15 local jobs and serve food pantries across the southern coalfields. A groundbreaking is planned for October.
