Sobriety checkpoint planned for Thursday in Logan, WV State Police

LOGAN COUNTY The West Virginia State Police will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint this Thursday in Logan.


The checkpoint will take place between eight o’clock Thursday evening and two o’clock Friday morning on WV Route 73 in Logan.


According to a press release from the Logan Detachment of state police, an alternate checkpoint has been designated as Route 10 and Enterprise Drive at Deskins’ Addition.


The checkpoint’s primary focus is DUI enforcement. State police will also perform saturation patrols. In other words, there will be an increase in patrols focused on reckless driving, speeding, and seat belt violations.
