Social Security Dollars Stretch Farthest In Southern W.Va.


According to a study recently conducted by smart asset, the Coalfields are the best place to live for those who depend on social security income.


The study analyzes Social Security income, cost of living data and taxes across all counties to determine where people are getting the most mileage out of Social Security.


The study ranked the top 10 places to live in West Virginia for those on the fixed income.

Wyoming County was number 2, Mingo County was number 3, Lincoln County was number 5, Wayne County was number 7 and Logan County was number 10.


The best place to live in West Virginia, where social security will stretch the farthest, is Brooke County, W.Va.
