Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College will host an informal reception on the Williamson campus of Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College on Monday, March 8, 2021, International Women’s Day. The purpose of the event is to discuss legislation affecting women and girls.
International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.
Jada Hunter, the Local and State President of The Mingo/Pike Branch of AAUW (The American Association of University Women) says the reception is a great opportunity for area residents to learn more about issues affecting them.
The local reception will be held in the new Technology Building on the Williamson campus from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event is open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
