SISSONVILLE Chapmanville wrapped up the Cardinal Conference championship Tuesday night with an 87-46 over the Sissonville Indians at Sissonville High School.
Sal Dean scored 24 points and Zion Blevins had 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Tigers to a convincing win over the Indians.
Dean was 8 of 20 from the field and 5 of 12 from 3-point range while Blevins was 9 of 12 from the field as Chapmanville, who led 18-8 after one quarter, outscored Sissonville 54-26 in the second and third quarters.
Ethan Taylor led the Indians with 10 points while Ben Smith added nine and Jaunti Evans finished with eight points.
Sissonville shot 16 of 48 from the field and was 8 of 26 from beyond the arc. The Indians were outrebounded 43-34.
Benji Adkins scored 11 points for Chapmanville and Eli Smith added eight points and Devon Workman seven. The Tigers were 34 of 75 from the field and 9 of 27 from 3 and also dished out 20 assists. Isaiah Smith had a team-high six assists in the win.
Chapmanville improved to 17-3 with the win and finished 9-1 in the Cardinal Conference while Sissonville finished the regular season with a 5-17 record and 0-12 in the Cardinal with the loss.
