The Annual Tony Gill Memorial Fishing Tournament returns to the Guyandotte River this Saturday, August thirteenth.
Anglers can register to win $700 in cash prizes.
$200 will be awarded to the longest bass and the longest catfish $150 for the longest carp.
Fish must be caught on the river between the Three Mile Curve bridge and the mouth of Peach Creek.
The tournament fishing at eight o’clock Saturday morning and registration begins at seven o’clock at McDonald’s in Logan. The tournament requires fish must be alive and measured before the end of the tournament at 3:00 p.m. Measurements are collected in the parking lot of McDonald’s.
A slew of prizes will be given out to participants in the tournament.
A valid West Virginia fishing license is required.
The Tony Gill fishing tournament is held annually in memory of local resident and fishing enthusiast Tony “Bluegill” Gill.
