Some trick-or-treat times have been set across the coalfields.
West Hamlin will trick-or-treat on Thursday, October 29 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Logan, Man and Chapmanville will trick-or-treat Saturday, October 31 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Boone County will trick-or-treat Saturday, October 31 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Williamson will trick-or-treat Saturday, October 31 from 5 to 7 p.m.
All trick-or-treating is optional. Those who do not wish to participate do not have to participate.
For safety reasons, those handing out treats are asked to hand out treats outside or keep an eye on their door to cut down on multiple people touching the door handle.
Masks are encouraged to cut down the chance of spreading any germs. Those participating should also sanitize their hands often.
Trick-or-treaters are encouraged to stay in small groups or with family members. If there is a small group at a home before you approach, please allow them to move on to provide room for social distancing.
There is no trick-or-treating in Mitchell Heights or West Logan this year.
