WILKINSON According to investigators, 40-year-old Rex Hale of Pecks Mill allegedly fired shots toward employees of a repossession company before fleeing to a barn on Milkhouse Hollow Road. Troopers say Hale climbed onto the roof while wearing body armor, threw a blasting cap and claimed he had pipe bombs, dynamite and other explosive devices.
State Police say they later recovered an AR-15 rifle and a semi-automatic pistol from the scene.

According to records submitted within Logan County Magistrate Court, Hale faces a litany of felony charges, including threats of terrorist acts, child neglect creating risk of death or injury, illegal possession of explosives, wearing body armor while committing a violent crime, wanton endangerment involving a firearm and conspiracy. Moreover, he's charged with misdemeanor counts, including domestic assault, brandishing deadly weapons, assaulting law enforcement, fleeing, obstruction and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Authorities also arrested 29-year-old Breonna Dillon of Logan. Investigators say she refused to leave the scene and had to be removed by officers.
Troopers further allege the pair left four children alone at home without electricity or running water while they traveled to Wilkinson.
Hale’s bond was set Thursday morning at $225,000 Cash Only for the felony charges and $8,000 10% cash following his arraignment before Magistrate Burley Ferrell. He’s being held at the Southwestern Regional Jail.

Dillon is also currently being held at the Southwestern Regional Jail on a cash-only bond of $50,000. She’s charged with four felony counts of gross neglect of child creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury and one count of conspiracy to commit a felony offense against the state. As for misdemeanor offenses, she's charged with three counts of obstruction with threats of harm.
Dillon has a preliminary hearing scheduled for June 22 at 10:00 AM.
