Delegates rejected a bill Thursday that would have mandated high school seniors complete a federal financial aid application before they could graduate.
The measure, HB 2702, was voted down 42-56.The bill would require a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The bill did provide a waiver process for students and their parents who declined to complete the application.
