W.Va. DHHR Reports Most All Counties Are Red or Orange


The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 1,337 new cases of COVID-19.


As of 10 o’clock Tuesday morning, West Virginia has 24,264 active cases of coronavirus.


Since the onset of the outbreak, 1,284 West Virginians have succumbed to COVID-19. Twenty-one people died in the last 24 hours.


Today’s daily positive infection rate is 10.45%.


According to the color-coded map released this morning, all but 2 counties are either in the orange or red categories.


Boone, Logan, Lincoln, Mingo, Wayne and 35 other counties are all in the red zone.


McDowell and Wyoming counties are orange.


West Virginia has received 72,175 doses of vaccine. As of press time, 34,474 doses have been administered.
