W.Va. DHHR Reports Over 1,300 Cases of COVID-19 Thursday


The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 1,325 new cases of COVID-19.


As of 10 o’clock Thursday morning, West Virginia has 27,603 active cases of coronavirus.


Since the onset of the outbreak, 1,518 West Virginians have succumbed to COVID-19. Thirty-seven people died in the last 24 hours.


Today’s daily positive infection rate is 7.10%.


According to the color-coded map released this morning by the state DHHR, 10 counties are in the orange category. All other counties are red.


West Virginia has received 109,440 doses of vaccine. As of press time, 66,792 doses have been administered.
