West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice on Wednesday said the state is lowering its age requirement for elderly to be able to get the first round dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to 70 and older this week, and 65 and older next week.
Justice said the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is wanting the nation to drop the age for the first group of public citizen vaccines to 65 and older.
The governor said all the scheduled COVID-19 vaccination clinics scheduled this week for those 80 and older are now open for anyone age 70 and older.
