Wayne Co. Teacher Tests Positive For Coronavirus

A Wayne County school teacher tested positive for COVID-19.


The person is a teacher at Fort Gay PK-8, which has been operating on a blended learning model.


Wayne County School Superintendent Todd Alexander said contact tracing identified that the Thursday and Friday group needs to quarantine for 14 days. They will be doing remote learning from home.


The teacher is home in quarantine and expected to make a full recovery.
