A Williamson nurse was recently arrested after a shooting in Mingo County.
The incident was reported late Thursday on Vinson Street.
One woman was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
39-year-old Amy Thorn, who also goes by Amy Ford, is accused of pulling the trigger. The two women were reportedly engaged in an argument outside when the shot was fired.
Thorn claims the shot was self-defense.
The victim is reportedly doing well and has been recovering in the hospital. Thorn has been released on bond.
Thorn is a nurse and spent time traveling to NY and Texas to treat coronavirus patients. She was also invited to attend the Republican National Convention.
