WV Active COVID-19 Cases Surpass 10,000


The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 864 new cases of COVID-19.


As of 10 o’clock Tuesday morning, West Virginia has 10,707 active cases of coronavirus.


Since the onset of the outbreak, 598 West Virginians have succumbed to the virus. Thirteen deaths were reported in the last 24-hours.


Today’s daily positive infection rate is 5.72%.


According to the state DHHR color-coded map released this morning, Logan and McDowell counties are in the “yellow” category.


Boone, Lincoln, Wayne and Wyoming counties are orange.


Mingo County is gold.


West Virginia has 35,324 cumulative cases of coronavirus.
