WV DHHR Releases New Color Map Thursday


The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 1,636 new cases of COVID-19.


As of 10 o’clock Thursday morning, West Virginia has 21,832 active cases of coronavirus.


Since the onset of the outbreak, 1,071 West Virginians have succumbed to the COVID-19. Thirty-two people died in the last 24 hours.


West Virginia has 68,485 cumulative cases of the virus.


Today’s daily positive infection rate is 8.13%.


According to the color-coded map released by the WV DHHR this morning, Boone and Wayne counties are in the red zone.


Statewide, there are 18 counties in the most restrictive red zone.


Logan, Lincoln and Mingo counties are orange.


Wyoming County is gold.


McDowell County is green.
