WV DHHR Reports 1,177 New Cases of COVID-19 in W.Va.


The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 1,177 new cases of COVID-19.


As of 10 o’clock Monday morning, West Virginia has 21,076 active cases of coronavirus.


Since the onset of the outbreak, 978 West Virginians have succumbed to the COVID-19. Ten people died in the last 24 hours.


West Virginia has 64,394 cumulative cases of the virus.


Today’s daily positive infection rate is 8.33%.


According to the state DHHR color-coded map released this morning, Boone County is red. There are 15 total counties statewide in the red.


Lincoln, Mingo, Wayne, and Wyoming counties are orange.


Logan County is yellow.


McDowell County is Green.
