WV DHHR Virus Update for Friday, September 25


The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 247 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.


As of 10 o’clock Friday morning, West Virginia has 3,655 active cases of the virus.

A Total of 330 West Virginians have succumbed to the virus since the onset of the outbreak.

Today’s daily positive rate of infection is 3.53%.


According to the state DHHR color-coded map released Friday afternoon, 4 counties are in the “gold” category. “Gold” counties are Logan, Mingo, Summers and Wyoming.


Boone and Wayne counties are “orange.”


Lincoln and McDowell counties are green.


The West Virginia Department of Education Re-entry School Alert Map will be released Saturday evening at 5 o’clock.
