Chapmanville Football Program Suspended due to COVID-19 Exposure

The Chapmanville Regional High School football program has been suspended until next week due to a potential exposure to COVID-19.

Chapmanville’s Head Coach James Barker said the exposure was brought to his attention Tuesday.

The player had direct contact with a positive case on Saturday night following the game against Logan. The contact happened during a non-school event.

Barker said he coaches about family and the decision was one made from an abundance of caution.

The player has not tested positive and has no symptoms.

The suspension of play and practice is in effect until Monday, October 5.
