The City of Logan Fire Department promoted six firefighters to the rank of Captain Tuesday.
Fire Chief Scott Beckett said the promotions are well deserved and over-due. As with everything else over the last year, the coronavirus outbreak delayed and paused many functions of everyday lives including rank promotions. Beckett said his crew went well above expectations during the height of the pandemic and he is proud of his guys.
“I can’t say enough about them,” Chief Beckett said. “All of them are great guys. They’re team guys. Most of us have been here 15 years or more. It’s a good day for the department and good day for the city.”
Captain promotions included Jeremy Steele, Fuji Williams, Stevie Trent, Nick Ferrell, Chris Hatfield and Justin Conley.
