A combined effort of three separate dates and locations netted over 300 pounds of medications to be safely destroyed by the Drug Enforcement Agency.
The Drug Take Back events were sponsored by the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, the PIECES and Logan County Prevention Coalitions. Drug take back is an effort to keep unused or expired medications off the streets and out of our drinking water.
The events collected a total of 301 pounds of drugs.
Sheriff P.D. Clemens to continue the effort disposing of their unwanted medications at one of the three Drug Take Back Boxes located at The Logan County Sheriff’s Department, the Chapmanville Police Department, and at Man City Hall.
