A single vehicle crash on Route 80 at Elk Creek in Logan County today killed a man.
Logan County Sheriff’s Department responded to the accident Wednesday. Deputies observed a burgundy SUV in a culvert completely submerged. A male body was nearby on the bank.
Police identified the victim as 78-year-old Edward Wayne Ernest of Elk Creek. Ernest was pronounced dead on scene by the medical examiner.
The crash is under investigation
