The Boone County Health Department confirmed one new case and one probable case of COVID-19 Sunday.
Boone County’s cumulative total of cases is 435, with 83 active cases, 2 probable cases, 350 recovered, and 8 deaths. Five of the eight deaths were nursing home residents.
Those residents were at Hillcrest Health Care Center.
Boone County health officials confirmed the deaths Sunday.
They say each patient did have underlying health issues.
