Free COVID-19 testing will be administered this weekend in Boone County.
The free testing will be administered at the Magic Mart parking lot in Danville. A drive-thru test will be available Friday between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Testing will be conducted again at the same location Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Attendees must have a valid email address and a smart phone. Those under the age of 21 will be asked to provide a photo or ID of a parent or legal guardian.
The test is saliva test. Attendees must hydrate well and abstain from eating, drinking and using vaping or tobacco products at least thirty minutes before testing.
Results will be emailed 24 to 48 hours after testing.
The event is sponsored by Boone Memorial Hospital, West Virginia National Guard and the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources.
