The Logan County Health Department confirmed 2 deaths due to COVID-19 Monday.
As of 2 o’clock this afternoon, Health Department Director Steve Browning confirmed two males aged 70 and 71-years-old succumbed to the virus.
Browning also confirmed 2 additional cases of COVID-19 through laboratory testing.
Browning said the department has been unsuccessful in contacting two individuals discovered through contact tracing. It’s possible the contact information for the people is outdated and inaccurate. He said the department will continue attempts to contact the individuals.
Logan County has 48 active cases of the virus, 629 recoveries, 2 unreachable contacts and 45 fatalities for a cumulative total of 724 cases of coronavirus.
Five people are hospitalized.
