Logan Confirms 1 Death and 2 New Cases of COVID-19


The Logan County Health Department confirmed one death associated with COVID-19 Thursday.


Health Department Director Steve Browning said a 62-year-old male has succumbed to the virus. Thirty-nine people in the county have died since the onset of the outbreak.


As of 9 o’clock this morning, 2 new cases of the virus have been confirmed through laboratory testing.


A preliminary count from today’s testing at the Chief Logan Recreational Center, as of press time, is over 125 tests administered. Browning said county health departments have been directed to conduct weekly community tests if the county is gold, orange or red.


Logan County has 75 active cases of the virus, 454 recoveries, and 39 fatalities for a cumulative total of 568 cases of coronavirus.


Twenty-seven people are hospitalized.
