Logan Health Dept. Cites A Facility Delay in Reporting Last Month for Large Number of New Cases

The Logan County Health Department reported new numbers of COVID-19 cases Tuesday evening.

A total of 59 additional cases were reported by Health Department Director Steve Browning. Moreover, 67 recoveries were also confirmed.

Browning said the case spike is not reflected in Logan’s current active cases. He cited a delay in one facility not reporting many of the cases early last month. The late reporting facility has not been identified as of press time.

Browning said Tuesday’s new infections are considerably lower, but that figure was not available as of press time.

Logan County has 227 active cases, 2,330 recoveries and 67 fatalities for a cumulative total of 2,624 cases of COVID-19.
