The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 533 new cases of COVID-19.
As of 10 o’clock Sunday morning, West Virginia has 24,437 active cases of coronavirus.
Since the onset of the outbreak, 1,254 West Virginians have succumbed to COVID-19. One person died in the last 24 hours.
Today’s daily positive infection rate is 10.92%.
According to the color-coded map released Sunday morning, 51 counties are either in orange or red categories.
Boone, Logan, Lincoln, Mingo, Wayne, Wyoming and 32 other counties are all in the red zone.
McDowell County is one of 13 orange counties.
West Virginia has received 60,875 doses of vaccine. As of press time, 29,675 doses have been administered.
