Myrtle Beach, S.C. Man High School split a pair of games in the Mingo Bay Classic over the weekend.
On Thursday, the Hillbillies defeated Saranac Central, New Yor, 13-1, at St. James High School but was defeated by Kings Academy, Georgia, 6-3, on Friday at Socastee High School.

Caleb Blevins tossed a five-inning two-hitter and Caleb Vance had four hits and Bo Thompson drove in four runs in the Hillbillies win over the Chiefs.
Blevins allowed one run, struck out seven and helped his own cause at the plate with a pair of hits and two RBIs.
Man plated two runs in the first and second inning, scored one in the third and pushed across four more runs in fourth and fifth innings. Saranac Central got its lone run in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Man had 16 hits in the contest with Vance leading the way with four hits. Blevins, Brady Hall-Montgomery and Thompson each had two hits while Jace Adkins, Preston Blankenship, Gavyn Cline, Braxton Messer, Colton Miller and Drake Veres each had one hit for the Hillbillies.
Six different Hillbillies drove in a run with Thompson leading the way with four. Man got two RBIs each from Blankenship, Blevins and Vance and one each from Miller and Veres.
Alex Clancy and Matt Faville each had a single for the Chiefs.
Kings Academy (GA) 6, Man 3
A three-run home run fifth inning from Kings Academy third baseman Fields was the difference as the Knights defeated the Hillbillies Friday morning at Socastee High School.
Fields had two hits in the contest and drove in three runs as Kings Academy plated four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to erase a 3-2 Man lead.
The Knights had 14 hits in the contest with Elder and Leach each registering three hits. Clarke, Fields and Williams each had two hits while Brunstain had one hit. The Knights got two RBIs from Clarke and one RBI from Leach.
Man got three hits and two RBIs from Brady Hall-Montgomery and three hits from Colton Miller. Preston Blankenship had two hits while Jace Adkins and Braxton Messer had one hit each for the Hillbillies.
Leach picked up the win for Kings Academy after allowing three runs, one earned, on 10 hits with three strikeouts and two walks in seven innings.
Blankenship suffered the loss for Man after allowing four runs on nine hits with two strikeouts and one walk in four-plus innings. Bo Thompson worked two innings of relief and allowed two runs on five hits while striking out two batters.
