Thursday, the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) reported there are currently 11,629 active COVID-19 cases statewide.
There have been 27 deaths reported since the last report, with a total of 3,866 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
Included in the most recently reported deaths: a 70-year old male from McDowell County, and a 72-year old male from McDowell County.
Current active cases reported in the Coalfields: 184 in Boone County, 155 in Lincoln County, 172 in Logan County, 199 in McDowell County, 152 in Mingo County, 316 in Wayne County and 158 in Wyoming County.
