No new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Logan Thursday.
The Logan County Health Department reported a slight drop in active cases with the addition of five recoveries on Thursday.
Cases have surged since the beginning of May. Logan has confirmed 112 cases of the virus in the last 13 days
Health Department Director Steve Browning said the recent increase in cases is attributed to schools and athletics outbreaks. According to Logan County Schools, 43 infections of the virus have been confirmed since May fourth.
Logan County has 96 active cases, 3,029 recoveries and 89 fatalities for a cumulative total of 3,214 cases of COVID-19.
Four people are hospitalized.
