Appalachian Power is still working to restore power to customers in Lincoln and Wayne County.
As of Thursday morning, Lincoln County has more than 800 outages. Wayne County has more than 4300 outages.
Those counties were hit the hardest in the Coalfields as severe winter weather moved through West Virginia last week.
A statement from Appalachian Power says “Just under 10,000 customers who lost power in historic back-to-back ice storms that hit the state Feb. 11 and 15 remain without service. At the height of the weather event, 97,000 customers lost power.”
