Ten different players cracked the scoring column and eight different players combined to make 11 3-pointers in Class AAA No. 4 Logan’s 68-36 victory over Sissonville Tuesday night at Willie Akers Arena.
Halle Crouse hit four 3’s and led Logan with 14 points while Peyton Ilderton added 12 for the Lady Wildcats, who have won four straight games to improve to 14-2 on the season.
Logan led 12-8 after one quarter but thanks to six second quarter 3-pointers, the Lady Wildcats extended their lead to 35-16 at halftime.
Eight of Logan’s 11 3-pointers came in the first half as Crouse hit 3-of-her-4 3’s in the second quarter.
Ten different players scored at least three points for Logan. Abbie Myers just missed double finishing with nine points while Natalie Blankenship added seven points and dished out seven assists. Emma Elkins finished with five points and grabbed nine rebounds in the Lady Wildcat victory.
Sissonville was led in scoring by Kynna Britton with 19 points while Madison McCutcheon added eight for the Lady Indians.
Logan made 24 field goals while holding Sissonville to 13 makes. The Lady Indians made five 3-pointers in the loss and were 5-of-7 from the foul line. Logan shot 9-of-12 from the free throw line.
Sissonville falls to 6-7 with the loss and will host Buffalo (Putnam) on Friday.
Logan returns to action Wednesday night as they host Class AA No. 10 Chapmanville. The Lady Wildcats defeated the Lady Tigers 51-50 on Jan. 29 at Danny Godby Gymnasium and will be looking for a season sweep of their county rival.

Chapmanville 54, Wayne 46: Brody Dalton had a double-double to pace Class AA No. 7 Chapmanville to a 54-46 road win over Wayne Tuesday night.
Brody Dalton led Chapmanville with a game high 18 points and 12 rebounds, Zion Blevins scored 15 and Isaiah Smith seven for the Tigers.
Cooper Adkins and Zane Adkins led Wayne with 11 points each and Isaac Meddings had 10.
Chapmanville led 28-26 at halftime but outscored Wayne 26-20 in the second half for the eight-point victory.
Wayne drops to 7-9 with the loss and will host Ripley on Saturday.
Chapmanville improves to 8-7 with the victory and will host Class A No. 4 Huntington St. Joe’s Friday.
