Sixteen Gold Counties On Sunday's County Alert System Map

More counties moved to gold Sunday in West Virginia’s county alert system map.


The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources’ map posted Sunday is based on Saturday’s data.


There were six counties in red: Boone, Mingo, Wayne, Hardy, Hampshire and Berkeley.

Twenty-three counties were orange, down from 28 on Saturday – among those were Logan and Wyoming.


Sixteen counties were gold, up from 10 on Saturday including Lincoln County.


There were six counties in yellow Sunday: Roane, Gilmer, McDowell, Mercer, Preston and Brooke.


Pleasants and Taylor counties joined Calhoun and Summers in green Sunday.
