The West Virginia State Police will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint this Thursday, September 3 on US Route 85 in Danville. An alternate checkpoint site has been designated on US 119, Madison.
The checkpoint will take place between at 6 o’clock Thursday evening and midnight.
According to a press release from the local detachment, the checkpoint’s primary purpose is Driving Under the Influence (DUI) enforcement. Moreover, Drivers will be checked for all driving infractions.
The State Police encourages the public to use the *SP system to report drunk drivers, reckless driving, stranded motorists, and criminal violations.
