State Police Set DUI Checkpoint Thurs. July 22 In Logan



The West Virginia State Police will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint next week.


The checkpoint will take place this Thursday, July 22 between six o’clock that evening and midnight at Deskins’ Addition. An alternative checkpoint has been designated for Route 73.


According to a press release from the Logan detachment, the checkpoint’s primary focus is DUI enforcement. Moreover, during the checkpoint drivers will be checked for all driving infractions.


Motorists are encouraged to dial *SP from their hands-free device to report reckless or stranded drivers and criminal violations. The *SP system of the state police puts motorists in contact with nearest state police detachment.
