The Chapmanville Tigers fell to 1-2 on the season against the still undefeated 3-0 Nitro Wildcats tonight at Danny Godby Gymnasium.
Nitro knocked off Class AA favorites Poca earlier this week, but struggled to shake loose of the young Tigers. The Wildcats were leading all night, but really broke out with a 10-0 run to begin the fourth quarter.
Offensive rebounding and second-chance points sparked Nitro in the win with a final score 57-45
The 6 foot 9 inch Joseph Udoh poured on a game-high 18 points for the Wildcats. Kolton Painter contributed 16 points in Nitro's win.
The Tigers were led by sophomore Devan Workman with 10 points.
Chapmanville will get back into action Tuesday night when they travel to Logan to take on the county rivals
