The Logan County Health Department confirmed more cases of COVID-19.
Twelve new infections were confirmed through laboratory testing Wednesday evening. One more infection was reported Thursday afternoon. Since Friday, 43 new cases of the virus have been discovered in the county.
Health Department Director Steve Browning said the recent increase in cases can be attributed to schools and athletics outbreaks.
Ten recoveries were reported Thursday.
Logan County has 78 active cases, 2,978 recoveries and 89 fatalities for a cumulative total of 3,145 cases of COVID-19.
Six people are hospitalized.
