Vigil to honor Priscella Cline Smith set for Sat. night

An event is set to honor Priscella Cline Smith Saturday night.

The Logan County Prevention Coalition will conduct a candlelight vigil tomorrow night at Paradise Island in Christian. Smith and her family operated a lodging business and ministry at Paradise island for near thirty years. Smith was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday morning while preparing for another food pantry giveaway.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, Smith’s Miracle Island ministry has been feeding near 7,000 people every month from Logan and surrounding counties.

Sharon Moorehead from the Logan County Prevention Coalition said the vigil is a chance to honor Smith and the work she dedicated herself to.

“She was an amazing woman,” Moorehead said. “She was always reaching out and helping families in need.”

The candlelight vigil begins at 8 o’clock tomorrow night at Paradise Island in Christian.
