The state Department of Health and Human Resources is now listing vaccination information on its COVID-19 dashboard.
Monday’s report shows 16,575 doses of the Pfizer vaccine received and 15,135 doses administered. Bloomberg’s vaccine tracker reports that’s the highest percentage of vaccines given in the country, a 91.3% administrative rate.
The DHHR reported 995 new COVID-19 cases Monday and one additional death, a 93-year-old man from Wayne County. There have been 1,129 deaths in West Virginia since the pandemic began.
The daily positivity test rate is 7.19% with current active cases at 22,877.
Hospitalizations fell to 695 Monday with 167 patients being treated in intensive care.
Thirty-two of the state’s 55 counties were ‘red’ Monday on the COVID-19 daily alert map.
