Wildcats Fall To Poca Dots

In high school basketball action, the Logan Wildcats fell to the Poca Dots last night 61-48 at Willie Akers Arena to drop their record to 1-2 on the young season.


The Wildcats came out on fire and took a 17-7 lead at the end of the first quarter only to watch Poca's Isaac McNeely fire in 14 of his game-high 24 points in the 2nd period, as the Dots outscored Logan 23-8 in the 2nd quarter to take a 30-25 lead into halftime.


Poca extended their lead to 41-31 after the third quarter, but Logan was able to claw within five late in the 4th quarter behind their pressure defense before the Dots pulled away at the free-throw line down the stretch to remain undefeated on the young season. The Wildcats were led in scoring by Scotty Browning who poured in 12 points in the loss for Logan.
