Pike County Ends Landfill Study Contract
Pike County officials have voted to cancel a contract to study the possibility of building a landfill in the Myra community. The fiscal court voted Tuesday to breach its agreement with American Land Reserve, though Magistrate Ray Jones opposed the move, warning the county still faces limited landfill space.
